CINE WORKERS DIVIDE – STOP WORK BY MAJOR UNION

The Karnataka film Chamber of Commerce remaining neutral on the issue and not banishing the cinema workers union of Rajesh Brahmavar the 25 years old Karnataka Cinema Workers Federation with 5000 members is going on strike from Tuesday. It will be an indefinite strike and most of the films get affected.

It was a tough situation on Monday as the cinema workers thronged the KFCC office. There was clash of words and some used to hit at the boiling up situation. The police also intervened in the case to control the situation.

On announcement of Kannada Film Producers Association and KFPA that the producers could make use of the cinema workers at the capacity they have – it was an indirect win for Rajesh Brahmavar team.

On hearing this announcement the cinema workers association of Ashok took the issue seriously and urged not to take such decision. When the truce was not reached it was announcement from the majority of cinema workers federation to call off bandh from Tuesday.

Utilize the cinema workers according to budget of the film and free hand disclosed on Monday has lead to serious work obstruction to nearly 40 Kannada films on floor.
